| Poldervaartite MineralogyPhoto shows a botroydial cluster of Poldervaartite.
Poldervaartite has the chemistry (Ca,Mn++)2SiO3(OH)2 Calcium Manganese Silicon Hydrogen Oxygen and is a member of the mineral class Silicates, subgroup Nesosubsilicates. It is an extremely rare mineral, found in pockets in massive manganese ores in a bedded manganese ore deposit. Poldervaartite was discovered at the Wessels Mine in the Kalahari Manganese fields and subsequently in the NChwaning mine in 2002. The last pocket was found in 2004. Typically, Poldervaartite forms as prismatic single crystals, wheat-sheaf crystal group, or spheroidal aggregates. Many specimens have crystals bundled together into radiating colloform aggregates, whilst others consist of spheres composed of numerous stacked stubby crystals, with a myriad of sharply defined crystal faces on the outer surface. The colour of the crystals is colourless, milky-white, pinkish and tan and there is a vitreous lustre. Poldervaartite is named after Arie Poldervaart (1918-1964), Professor of Petrology, Columbia University, New York, USA. | Pop Rocks Healing EnergiesPop Rocks (Boji Stones) align and balance the subtle bodies and chakras by using a 'male' and 'female' stone. They clean, charge and fill voids in the aura. They are an excellent source of energy and good stones for grounding. Pop Rocks help reduce pain and are a good for general healing and regeneration.

It removes avoidance; helping to accept truths, even of unpleasant or 'forgotten' experiences, whilst offering protection. It promotes dreaming, and remembering and understanding the dreams. Prehnite enhances analytical thinking and increases perception levels. It stimulates the metabolism of fat, the regeneration of processes of the body and removes of toxins.

Prehnite has the chemistry Ca2 Al2 Si3 O10(OH)2, Calcium Aluminum Silicate Hydroxide and is a member of the mineral class Silicates, subclass Phyllosilicates. It is named after the Dutch Colonel, H. Von Prehn (1733-1785). Crystal habits of Prehnite include globular, spherical, nodular, concretionary, radial, reniform and stalactitic formations and rarely tabular or pyramidal individual crystals. Occasionally, it forms as an epimorph (a crystal growth over the surface of another mineral) over Laumontite with the latter mineral often dissolving leaving the hollow Prehnite crust. Crystals are transparent to translucent, lustre is vitreous to pearly and the colour is pale green to yellow-green, grey, white or colourless. The crystal system is orthorhombic. Sometimes Prehnite is referred to as a Zeolite, as it is found with Zeolites often. However, this is not correct, as Zeolites are members of the subclass Tectosilicates whereas Prehnite is a member the subclass Phyllosilicates. There are some similarities, for example, Prehnite can give off water when heated, and it is formed following low-grade metamorphism usually from hydrothermal solution. However, unlike Zeolites, Prehnite cannot gain back water. Minerals associated with Prehnite include Datolite, Gyrolite, Fluorapophyllite, Quartz, Calcite, Copper, Pectolite, Stilbite and other Zeolites. Well-known locations for Prehnite include Cape of Good Hope, South Africa, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Virginia, USA, Bombay, India, Scotland, Namibia, China and France. | Prophecy Stones Healing EnergiesProphecy Stones bring people together for a common goal, particularly to benefit others or the planet. The stones pull the individual energies together, making them extremely powerful. The Stones aid meditation, astral travel, access to the Akashic records and visions of the future. Prophecy Stones intensify insight, intuition and psychic abilities. They bring a sense of balance to the body, integrating the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual layers. They aid the healing of dis-eases of the blood and respiratory systems. Photo shows a polished Prophesy stone pebble.
| Purpurite Healing EnergiesPurpurite aids the development of spiritually through insight and encourages the growth and understanding of the Self. It promotes and supports breaking out of addictive, self-limiting or destructive behaviours and unhelpful external restraints. It facilitates speaking one's Truth with authority and confidence. Purpurite cleanses the aura and subtle bodies. It draws financial and material prosperity. It is helpful for wounds and bruises, and balancing the fluids within the body.

It focuses immediately on the parts that are unbalanced (physical, mental or emotional) and helps uncover the cause of the dis-ease. Pyrite lifts the mood when feeling despondent or despairing. It increases energy levels, strengthens the meridian system and protects the energy fields. NB Can irritate if worn in direct contact with the skin.

Marcasite is a very good grounding stone. It helps to bring fragmented and dis-organised thoughts into focus and clarity. It is beneficial for concentration, memory and completing practical tasks. Marcasite promotes feelings of confidence. Pyrite has the chemistry FeS2, Iron Sulphide and belongs to the mineral class Sulphides, Pyrite group. It is found in sedimentary, magmatic, metamorphic, and hydrothermal deposits. Pyrite is named from the Greek pyrites lithos, meaning stone which strikes fire, an allusion to the sparking produced when Iron is struck by Pyrite. Sometimes Pyrite is referred to as Fools Gold. Pyrite is a polymorph of Marcasite. This means that they both have the same chemistry, but different structures and therefore different symmetry and crystal shapes. Often it is difficult to distinguish between Pyrite and Marcasite. Pyrite crystal habits include the cube, octahedron and pyritohedron (a dodecahedron with pentagonal faces), nodules, massive, reniform, druse, stalactitic and striated. The Pyrite Sun is a flattened, striated nodule. Pyrite crystals are brass-yellow in colour, opaque with a metallic lustre. The crystal system is isometric, Cleavage is indistinct, fracture is conchoidal and hardness is 6-6.5. Specific Gravity is approximately 5.1, which is heavier than average for metallic minerals and streak is greenish black. Minerals associated with Pyrite include Quartz, Calcite, Gold, Sphalerite, Galena and Fluorite, among many others. Notable locations include USA, Peru, Germany, Russia, Spain, and South Africa. | Pyromorphite Healing EnergiesPyromorphite activates and stimulates personal energy on all levels. It removes blockages, particularly creative ones. It motivates to take action to achieve set goals. It enhances the energies of other minerals. Pyromorphite attracts financial abundance and wealth. It is beneficial for gums and assimilating B vitamins. It eases chills and cleanses the blood. N.B. Do not ingest in any form.
